Does insurance cover roof repairs?

Research carried out by My Redlands Roof found that most homeowners think their home insurance covers all roof repairs, but don’t be caught out, because it may not.

Many problems to do with leaking or damaged roofs happen because of a lack of proper maintenance or simple old age – if that is the case then the repairs the roof needs will not be covered by insurance.

This can come as a nasty shock, particularly as maintaining the roof is not usually top of anyone’s household agenda.

And don’t think it can’t happen to you: According to the English Housing Survey one in five roofs around the country are in need of repair.

If you have any concerns about the state of your roof, contact one of our contractors to check it out.   It’s far cheaper to repair minor problems than to wait until you have a major leak.
